Thailand is a year round destination and the climate varies according to region.
Bangkok is hot throughout the year especially April and May; June to September is cooler and the season for rain; October to February is the most pleasant.
Phuket is characterized by two main seasons: rainy from May to October and dry from November through to April which is high season. During the monsoon the pattern is for short, heavy showers and still plenty of sunshine.
Krabi has two seasons; hot from January to April and rainy from May to December with the hottest months April/May and September/October.
Koh Samui is situated on the Gulf coast of Thailand with limited rainfall from January to September and the hottest months are March to May then frequent showers between October and December
A visa is not required for UK citizens for a stay up to 30 days. All visitors must have a passport valid for 6 months beyond the date of departure and a return or onward ticket
Vaccinations are not normally required although an international vaccination certificate against yellow fever is needed if arriving from an infected country. For travel in northern Thailand, precautions against malaria, hepatitis B and typhoid are recommended
